Using Test My Kid
Test My Kid is a free adaptive math assessment tool at testmykid.vercel.app. By using it, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
Who can use this service
Test My Kid is intended for parents and legal guardians. If you create an account and add a child profile, you represent that you are the child's parent or legal guardian, and that you consent on the child's behalf to the collection and use of the information described in our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for the assessments, child profiles, and account settings you create.
What the assessment is, and isn't
The results we provide are a snapshot to help you understand approximately where your child is performing today, and where they might grow next. They are not a formal educational evaluation, a diagnostic tool, a substitute for a teacher's judgment, or a credential. They are one data point from a 10-question test on one day.
We frame results with a growth-mindset perspective because we believe it's a healthier way to look at learning. Don't treat the grade-level estimate as a verdict on your child.
Service provided as-is
Test My Kid is provided free of charge, as-is, with no warranties. We don't guarantee that the service will always be available, that it'll be free of bugs, or that it'll stay online forever. We may add, change, or remove features without notice.
To the maximum extent allowed by law, we're not liable for any losses or damages arising from your use of Test My Kid, including but not limited to data loss, missed expectations about results, or decisions made based on the grade-level estimate.
Your account and your data
You can stop using Test My Kid at any time. From the Settings page you can delete any single assessment, any child profile, or your entire account. Deleting your account permanently removes everything we have about you and your children. See the Privacy Policy for what we collect and how.
Acceptable use
Please don't abuse the service. That means: don't try to gain unauthorized access to anyone else's account or data, don't scrape the service, don't use it to distribute malware, and don't attempt to reverse-engineer the security we have in place. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a material way, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If the change would affect how we handle your data or account, we may also surface a notice in the app before the change takes effect.
